Why Hello!
I’m a big believer that strangers are just friends we haven’t met yet – so thanks for stopping by, getting to know me a little better, and spending some time in my world.
Reach out to collaborate, connect, scheme, or dream – my favorite activities.

I’M A DESIGNER, DABBLER, & DAY-DREAMER.
I’m deeply passionate about people and learning – and I’ve been lucky to translate that into a series of “big kid jobs” over the past 15+ years.
While my career has spanned higher education, K-12, and corporate training + development – the central theme of my work has always been helping people, teams, and organizations reach their fullest potential.
A lifelong learner to the extreme and a dabbler at heart, I know firsthand that learning changes lives. Growing up, it was a rule in our family that we had to share one thing we learned each day as we gathered around the dinner table – and that has always stuck with me. Every day really is an opportunity to learn something new, and I try not to take that for granted.
I’m a sucker for an extra-curricular and will jump at any chance to level-up skills or have a new experience. I’ve realized that as adults, we don’t try new things often enough – so I make it a point to do something for the first time whenever I get the chance.
Some new things I’ve tried in the past few years include taking pickleball and croquet lessons, glassblowing, beekeeping, playing D+D, floral arranging, curling, short form humor writing, digital doodling, strength training, building Legos, basket weaving, and succulent gardening.
Certain activities have stuck more than others – I weaved half a basket – but in any case, I always get some good belly laughs and new stories to tell whenever I give something new a shot!
Based in the Chicago area, I also completed a foundational improv course – a core requirement for anyone who hails from the Second City – and I’m a regular at book club. My husband is a wildly talented chef, so even though I probably didn’t finish the reading, I’ll always bring an epic charcuterie board to share.
Most important of all, I’m a proud dog mom to our two rescue pups, Spud and Sprout, 3-year-old littermates who keep us laughing every day. Fair warning, they’ll probably make an uninvited appearance if we connect on screen.

I’m also…
- a “grownup” Montessori school kid
- an alum of Laugh Out Loud theater’s improv program
- a former waitress/bartender/craft brewery tour guide
- a recovering academic and PhDropout
- a “multipotentialite”
- a Whole Brain® Thinker (3211) & HBDI® Certified Practitioner
- a classic ENFP personality type
- a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)
- strongest at: 1) Strategy, 2) Communication, 3) Winning Others Over aka “Woo” 4) Positivity and 5) Development according to CliftonStrengths
- a proud dog mom to 2 rescue pups
- deeply passionate about issues of equity and justice
- still not sure exactly what I want to be if/when I grow up
- a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan – and thereby, an eternal optimist
Stuff I geek out over:
- re-imagining education
- intergenerational friendships
- close-up magic
- traveling and collecting a new deck of playing cards on every trip
- really good (or bad) stand-up comedy
- theme parties or costumed events of any kind
- sending/receiving handwritten greeting cards
- fresh-cut flowers from the farmer’s market
- true stories that are stranger than fiction
Big kid jobs
